Cat whiskers also known as Java tea is a medicinal plant mostly found in East Asia and also in Australia's tropics North Queensland. This plant has curved stamens that extend an inch or two past the petals, giving the long bloom spikes an attractive, whisker like appearance. This plant can be used and dried to create a lovely tea, it also can help kidney disease.

Orthosiphon aristatus is from the family of Lamiaceae / Labiatae. The plant is a medicinal herb found mainly throughout South East Asia and tropical Australia. It is known as kumis kucing in Indonesia and misai kucing in Malaysia. In the US it may be commonly known as Cat's Whiskers or Java tea.
